Business Corporate

Tara has worked at a professional level with this association for a number of years. For the conference presentations she has done for us on personal wellness, she has been very successful in ‘hitting the mark’ with her presentations, and scored very highly in conference feedback. Tara has a very engaging style that challenges participants to take control of their personal health. I am aware that a number of our members have subsequently sought further assistance from the team of dietitians at Health Management following presentations. I commend her to you unreservedly.

Darryl Exelby, Chair of Queensland Secondary Principals’ Association Peninsula.

Tara Diversi delivered twelve monthly workshops to our employees, which were well attended by staff. The firm received significant positive feedback from sessions, with the majority of staff members reporting permanent changes in many aspects of their lives brought on by their new found knowledge of nutrition, fitness and self awareness.

Michael Keogh, Partner, Miller Harris Lawyers.

Tara, thank you for all the conference sessions you have done for us over the years. You were always a great addition to our conference program. Your natural engagement and frankness always added a sense of enjoyment and encourage us to make a very deliberate effort to focus on our own health and well-being.  The presentation you did at very short notice in the early days still stands out in my mind – gutsy effort – you won a lot of admiration that day.

Tim Black, Senior School Principal, Bentley Park College.

Thanks for meeting with our team today. I have had extremely positive feedback on the session, so again thanks for making it informative and interesting for them.

Leeonie Cousins, Senior People & Performance Advisor, Maunsell Aecom.

Tara custom-made her program to suit our business needs and the typical scenarios that our field workers face. The feedback from the session was very positive. Tara spoke very well and responded to a wide range of questions from the audience. Many of the staff commented at the end of the day that they gained plenty of useful information from her session. I have no hesitation in recommending Tara.

Very helpful and humorous. I am inspired about what I can do for my depression and believe that nutrition can help. Thank you Tara for your humour and hope.

Excellent presentation – your expertise is evident and you had a nice balance between formality and informality. One improvement would be for the conference organisers to put you down for two consecutive sessions.

Health Professionals

I really got a lot out of your workshop on Marketing. In fact I still have a visual reminder at my workstation on the key features of successful marketing (the marketing pyramid). Naturally , as a health professional, I knew a lot about health and risk factors ... but how to market health to the general public is something I wasn't practiced at. The short workshop you delivered helped me to reframe my thinking when promoting health programs.

Gina Davis, Nutrition & Lifestyle Team, Community Health, Queensland Health.

Tara presents business knowledge in terms that relate to me as a physio – it made it so much easier for me to apply it and get results.

Rachael White, Principal Physiotherapist, Cairns Total Physiotherapy (previous owner).

Tara’s presentation on recession proofing your HR strategies – rewarding and recruiting staff – gave us all food for thought at the 2009 DAA NSW Branch Sydney Conference. Her session was well received with over 90% rating the presentation and content of her presentation as very good or excellent.

Lisa Yates, DAA NSW Branch CE Subcommittee.

Practical, no-nonsense advice to improve the wellness of your business.

Sue Radd, Principal Dietitian, Author, Speaker. The Nutrition & Wellbeing Clinic. www.sueradd.com

Tara's 'Marketing in Nutrition' presentation was enlightening for all the team. It made us think outside the square and realise that we can construct more accessible nutrition messages and programs. It demonstrated to us the pitfalls of not fully comprehending target audience needs and encouraged more diverse and creative approaches. Tara's enthusiastic presentation style was welcomed by the team and all enjoyed her session thoroughly.

Meg Adam A/Director Public Health Nutrition, TPHN.

Medical Practitioners

Tara’s topic “If only fish had knees – nutrition and inflammation” was very informative, concise and kept everyone’s attention. The medical delegates certainly managed to generate plenty of discussion in question time and you successfully managed these questions and answered them all. All feedback regarding your session that the association has received has been very positive and we look forward to further talks by you in the future.

Dr Jan Kencian, Far North Queensland Lady Doctors Association.

Tara Diversi has presented for AstraZeneca for a number of years. Her down to earth style has always been well received by the target audience of GPs and other Health care professionals. Feedback has always commented on her ability to make the complex subject of healthy eating easy to digest.

Benjamin Hack, GP Representative, Astra Zeneca.

On behalf of the Far North Queensland Gut Club, I would like to thank you for your super talk on Nutrition. Everybody that I've spoken to thought it was fascinating. Nutrition is clearly a major public health issue these days, and we are only just coming to appreciate the science of it all. Just putting into practice what we do know is a major task and we should all work hard to try to achieve that as a minimum. I think that your talk goes a good way to improving patient care in this area. I found it a big help and have already started to change what I tell folks. Thanks a great deal.

Dr Shaughan Terry, Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, Chairman FNQ Gut Club

In March 2008 I ran a race in the Moroccan Sahara called the Marathon des Sables. This is a seven day ultra-marathon in which competitors run 250km in the seven day period. Race organizers provided rationed water supplies (9 litres of bottled water per competitor per day) and a two-sided tent as overnight accommodation. It was up to the competitor to ensure they carried adequate food supplies for the seven day race. There was a 2000 calorie per day minimum requirement. This is not a lot when you consider that you are carrying breakfast, race nutrition, lunch and dinner for seven days. I looked to Health Management Dietetics for assistance and was fortunate in that Tara Diversi agreed to help. We had regular consultations where we discussed my current dietary requirements, what my aims for the race were, and what I would be comfortable with on a daily basis. The mission was to produce a seven day meal plan that would allow me to be competitive, keep me alive, but be as light as possible, as I would be carrying this weight (albeit decreasing on a daily basis) for seven days. We trialled specific foods, sports nutrition products and quantities. Tara produced a mean plan that broke my daily food up into breakfast, race nutrition, lunch and supper right down to the last macadamia nut and jelly bean. We even had freeze-dried Astronaut ice-cream as a treat for after dinner. The meal plan was a total success. I achieved everything I expected and more in terms of result. I could only have managed this with the help of Tara. Food is fuel and sufficient fuelling facilitates performance.
